Your Appointment

Your first appointment with World of Words Speech & Feeding Services will begin with a referral from your doctor. Once we have that referral, we will verify benefits with your insurance company prior to your appointment. We will need the following documents when you arrive:

1. Insurance Card
2. Driver's License
3. New Patient Forms (click here to download)
4. Any relevant medical history

If you are unable to download and fill out the New Patient Forms prior to your appointment, we will be happy to provide you with the forms when you arrive. Please plan on arriving a few minutes early to you first appointment to allow time to fill out the forms prior to meeting with the therapist.

Your first appointment will include an in-depth evaluation of your child where our therapist will assess the patient's current level of development and any medical or physical challenges that exist. The second step is sitting down with the patient and their family to go over issues and treatment goals. Once everyone is in agreement, a treatment plan is developed and started. Along the way, our team will conduct regular progress evaluations to confirm that the plan is working and moving on schedule, along with making adjustments to the plan moving forward.
