FAQ
How does the process work?
For every patient, the first step is an in-depth evaluation where our therapist assesses the patient's current level of development and any medical or physical challenges that exist. The second step is sitting down with the patient and their family to go over issues and treatment goals. Once everyone is in agreement, a treatment plan is developed and treatment will begin. Along the way, our team will conduct regular progress evaluations to confirm that the plan is working and moving on schedule, along with making adjustments to the plan moving forward.
How long will therapy last?
Each of our patients are treated with a unique plan based on their specific needs, and treatment length can be discussed during the evaluation. However, based on how well the child responds to therapy will ultimately determine the length of treatment.
Will you come to our home, or do we need to come to your clinic?
At World of Words Speech & Feeding, our primary concern is the health and wellbeing of our patients and their families, so we're proud to offer services that allow for flexibility for each family's special circumstances including in office, home, or school services. Feel free to discuss these options during your evaluation or anytime during the treatment plan.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept many major insurance carriers (click here for a current list). Payments are processed by insurance first. After they are processed clients are emailed an invoice and balances due can be paid online, cash, check, or Venmo.
When will therapy start after an evaluation?
After the patient is evaluated, therapy plans will be submitted to the referring doctor(s) and insurance company. Once authorization is received, therapy can begin, typically 2-3 weeks after an evaluation.
